Avcrete Bonding Additive has an excellent bonding strength of approximately 6 N/mm2 that is suitable for patching mortar applications & bonding old to new cementitious substrate. It is basically an acrylic cement modifier, specifically designed for mortar for external and internal areas and floor screed mortar applications.

Installation Guide:

• Clean the loose concrete, dust etc, with water to get a saturated surface dry condition with no standing water
• At a dosage rate of 5% to 10% by weight of cement, mix Avcrete- Bonding Additive with cement slurry
• Leave that coat to become tacky and then apply fresh concrete or mortar
• In case, it the bond coat has dried, apply another to ensure effective bonding
• Avoid the application in direct heat and opt to cooled temperatures or shade
• Pre-wetting of surface with water is important

Shelf life:

• Storage conditions: Cool & dry place at temperature 5C- 35 C
• Expected shelf life: 6 months from the date of manufacturing if protected from high temperatures and high relative humidity

Precautions & Limitations:

• The material should not be kept open for more than 30 minutes
• The product should not be diluted with water at site
• If the bonding agent is dried, do not place new concrete or mortar
